Q. Should I choose a Reception sign with all capital letters? Or, should I go for upper and lower case lettering?

Capital letters or bolder fonts are usually recommended for headlines. For the rest of the text that follows the headline, mixed case lettering works well. Too many capital letters can become confusing and difficult to read. Therefore, for signs that convey a message in a phrase or a sentence, an upper and lower case lettering sign must be chosen.

However, for one-worded office reception signage, both all-caps and mixed case signage would work equally well. For a single word “Reception”, even the all-caps reception sign would not hinder your reading speed.
