Q. Are fluorescent school crossing warning signs better than regular reflective ones?

Fluorescent yellow diamond-grade reflective aluminum signs are three times more reflective than high-intensity and ten times more reflective than engineer-grade signs. These are highly conspicuous during the day and twilight and promise high nighttime reflectivity and wide-angle performance of 3M micro prismatic lens technology. Additionally, the MUTCD requires school crossing signs to be in a fluorescent color format.
